Human watching - This Northern Flicker was watching over its shoulder. It was pretty wary of me with my big camera, this is the reason the crop is so heavy! It is good enough for a small print but the bird is still pretty clear.
It appears that the strong southern wind from the last week brought many species of bird in our area. We are located on the migratory path and it is always fun to watch the new arrivals. This is the best time of the year since there is still no leaf.
