Jean-Yves (Ifocus) > Feb.2nd, 2008 - Nothing stop the train not even a snow storm. I wish we could have a network like Europe...

Like old movies got their re-make, this shot is a re-make. The scenery is absolutely as shot, I just borrowed the moon from the other image. I did the other one 1.5 years ago with a Canon Powershot S2, this one with a Nikon D80 at 18mm. You can see the other one in my guestbook section. Have a great day --JY

This tree represents the cycle of life. It might be 200 years old or more. There is some life left but not much. It has been the pioneer of the areal now returning to dust. I might try a wide angle shot someday. Have a great day! --JY

The big game. I had my first skate at 5 years old, a little late but my dad did not have lots of money. He made a skating ring in the backyard and we were playing every free moments we had. We played at the town's outdoor ring until late at night and always enjoyed a good improvised game. These kids playing hockey at Petrolia Discovery pond brought back good memories.

A gray day but still a nice walk through the conservation area. We had some flood following the warm weather. Other than the woodpecker next door, this is the next best image. I wished to have better light but I guess the lack of contrast helped to get these nice reflections. Have a great day --JY

Same subject at a different time. I must have shot this zilion times but never with this kind of snow. I am also using Raw therapee to convert from raw and believe me, never was able to control highlights and shadows this way. Have a great day --JY

After 2 hours of climbing, we are just 400 meters high, we would have another day of walking to reach the top. This is not a big summit by world standard but certainly a wonderful playground. Have a great day --JY

My daredevil brother jumping a cliff during our snow shoe hike. Not the best background as there are lot of mergers! But hey, I could I had to catch this :-). Have a great day! --JY

Another scene from the snow shoe ride in the mountain. Since, it is gray, rainy, I will recycle some vacation pics for a few days :-)

This is the city where I come from. Despite I moved out for 25 years now, this is still the place I call "home", well you know what I mean! Family is still living there. There is a really good article on the web about the area, you can find it here . Also, feel free to visit my vacation galleries if you like snow pictures, the pics are not all best but certainly enjoyable.

I needed snow shoes to track Bugs Bunny. Walking in the forest was very relaxing. Have a great day! JY

Back from my hometown, I will post some pictures in the next few days, lots of snow out there and we had an amazing time. A little worn out from a 15 hours drive through a snow storm :-) Happy new year to all.

Just the sky, the trees and the wind. I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas day, may the peace prevail in the world. Enjoy --JY
